I warned Gene that I was going to be stretching this week's theme a bit. So here are my 'Librarians' :).

My thought process started out on track...y'know girl with glasses and books around her. Then I figured what's better than one girl reading? Two girls of course! Then I kept thinking on it...what's better than two girls? (3 girls is too much more work, so don't go there :).) Two girls... taking a bath!...while reading! And somehow my brain thought that was an appropriate image for 'Librarian'.

*sigh*

and yes, the one girl is reading Moby Dick... just because I've got the maturity level of a thirteen year old. :)

Did this one with a mix of grayscale markers and watercolors. Was going to originally just do it in black and white, but I just can't resist messing around with color. (thankfully she didn't end up as a red head ;))

almost forgot to update the blog today. I decided on DC's Death. A character I've always liked and have wanted to do for a while now on the blog. Hope you guys are into it :)

Starfire - Teen Titans by Joe Pekar

ok, I couldn't resist drawing Starfire...shocking, I know! (I'm not sure if I've ever done a color one of her before...i think I've done a couple black and white drawings though...). I loved the Titans in the 80's, but haven't kept up over the years, so that's why I went old school :)

I was going to do a classic, 1960s Teen Titan, but someone mentioned Ravager. I have never drawn that character before so here she is. :)

Next Week's Subject: Teen Titans

We decided to go with the Teen Titans as our subject for next week...as suggested by Carlos Lising. We figured it would be a good break to have the variety of characters to choose from and not necessarily draw the same one...though what are the chances I won't draw Starfire? hmm...

Feel free to suggest some Titan characters for us (though that doesn't mean we'll actually go with them, but it doesn't hurt to try ;))
