Since Gene picked the costume I was going to use ;) I went with the 'X' cut out version...I think I've only drawn this version of her once before (on a sketch card, if I remember correctly).
(I thought I'd try posting a photo instead of a scan this time...just to make it interesting)
watercolor on 9x12 paper
Another late entry this week for me. Of course I had no idea what Captain Marvel's (new?) powers were. But I did notice she had a new zipper on the front of her costume. so....
I have only drawn this version of Ms Captain Marvel a few times. I really like the redesign. I had to twist Joe's arm to make Captain Marvel this week's subject. :)
Done in ink, watercolor and some Copics on 11 x 16 Watercolor paper.
Here's my Phoenix for this week's post. Gene and I got a laugh that we both came up with similar layouts (we don't let each other see what we're working on before we post the art). Though I decided to go with the Dark Phoenix version. :)
Copic Markers and acrylic on 9"x12" bristol
We are back! First up for us is Phoenix. It was Joe's idea for the first post. Rising from the ashes and all that. This piece was done in acrylic and color pencils on 11" x 17" Strathmore bristol board.
We have been extremely busy over the last several months. But we are back and making a solid effort to put this blog back on a weekly schedule. Thanks for your patience and for writing us asking for us to continue. This weeks subject:
Phoenix!
But what version? Drop by on Thursday and find out. And please tell others.
