Captain Marvel by Gene Gonzales

Captain Marvel © Marvel Entertainment

I have only drawn this version of Ms Captain Marvel a few times. I really like the redesign. I had to twist Joe's arm to make Captain Marvel this week's subject. :)

Done in ink, watercolor and some Copics on 11 x 16 Watercolor paper.

Lady Blackhawk by Joe Pekar

A little late on mine, but here she is. Not the most practical outfit for fighting nazis...unless her goal was to distract them first :)

Welcome to week 2 of the revived 2 Point Perspective blog!

Here is my finished piece for this weeks subject. I always enjoy drawing Lady Blackhawk. This time I went a little overboard. :)

Phoenix by Joe Pekar

Here's my Phoenix for this week's post. Gene and I got a laugh that we both came up with similar layouts (we don't let each other see what we're working on before we post the art). Though I decided to go with the Dark Phoenix version. :)

We are back! First up for us is Phoenix. It was Joe's idea for the first post. Rising from the ashes and all that. This piece was done in acrylic and color pencils on 11" x 17" Strathmore bristol board.

This Thursday marks a return to this blog!

We have been extremely busy over the last several months. But we are back and making a solid effort to put this blog back on a weekly schedule. Thanks for your patience and for writing us asking for us to continue. This weeks subject:

But what version? Drop by on Thursday and find out. And please tell others.

Thanks!

Batman by Gene Gonzales

UPDATE:  Final art for this weeks theme, only a little over an hour late. I left my post from earlier here to explain the inspiration.

Ink, Copics and color pencil on 9" x 12" Gray Canson Paper.

Batman © DC Comics

I knew I wasn't going to have time to finish this today, so I wanted to post this as a placeholder. And "FPO" as it were. The idea is to use a classic Neal Adams Batman as inspiration but draw Batman as played by Adam West. The finished piece will be here tomorrow.
